EXERCISE PROGRAMS WINTER & SPRING 2024

1. CORE, CARDIO & STRENGTH TRAINING:  12 weeks       

Choose your day and session (winter &/or spring).
TUESDAYS  Jan. 9 – March 26,  9:15 – 10 am     OR    WEDNESDAYS  Jan. 10 – March 27,  5:15 – 6 pm   Both  days  NOW  FULL !!
TUESDAYS  April 2 – June 18,  9:15 – 10 am     OR  WEDNESDAYS April 3 – June 19,  5:15 – 6 pm    Register  NOW  before full !!
Location:  Melrose United Church, 86 Homewood Avenue, Hamilton, ON. 
Your health investment is:  $185 per 12 weeks.     $333 per 24 weeks (2 classes per week or winter & spring sessions).

This program is suitable for men & women over 40.  Train your core with evidenced and safe exercises using body weight (adjusted for each participant’s ability) for 20 minutes with the final 25 minutes of cardio and strength training intervals using bands.  Each class focusses on YOU, your breath, alignment awareness, and proper form through various progressions.  Learn how to move well and progress without flaring up areas of concern.  Suitable for chronic stiffness & pain, arthritis, osteoporosis and other concerns. Join us in this positive and feel good program!   Bring your mat and a band or two.

Schedule 1:1 in home exercise coaching until the spring session begins.

2IN-HOME EDUCATION & EXERCISE PROGRAMS: Low Back Stabilization, Hip & Knee Osteoarthritis

30 minute complementary discovery call to determine appropriateness of program for client needs.    Then we schedule 6, 1 hour sessions.  Detailed document provided weekly with exercise instructions and images personalized for client ability and concerns for their best outcomes.  Clients are followed up post program at months 1, 3 & 6 to ensure sustainability of exercise program.  This evidenced program will identify movement pain triggers and teach  better movement control while reducing stiffness in the hips and low back, sparing the joints.  Learn superior exercises to improve mobility, stability, feel stronger and more confident during daily activities.  Exercises are taught slowly to ensure optimal neuromuscular training for best results.

3.  HIP & KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS:  8 week program date & location TBD

This evidenced education & exercise program will help you: Walk & function better, with less hip pain and stiffenss and slow the joint degeneration process.  Learn superior exercises to improve mobility, stability around your low back, hips & knees, improve balance, reduce fall risk, feel stronger so you have more stamina for daily activities.  Learn the facts & tips to keep active and healthy with Osteoarthritis.  A hip or knee osteoarthritis diagnosis is not needed for this program.  You  will receive 8, 1 hour classes with personal attention, 8, 30 minute exercise review videos to keep!, 8 education videos to keep!, laminated anti-inflamatory food guid and one 20 minute session to ensure we’re reaching your goal

A popular choice for general fitness or medical conditions such as hip/knee OA and joint replacements, sciatica, osteoporosis, Parkinson’s, chronic pain, shoulder problems, spinal stenosis, and balance/fall prevention. Current evidence guides safe and effective design and delivery of exercise programs with positivity and fun for you!  

15 minute complementary call.

Recorded 30 minute CORE Classes

Learn how to move better to unload joints, reduce pain and improve stability.  Improve core endurance, glute strength, hip mobility and balance, at your pace.  Classes focus on alignment, correct movement and breathing for optimal stability at the spine, hips, knees and shoulders. One weekly video sent to your email. Choose your program length: 6, 8, or 10 weeks.  Recorded classes that you can do when it’s best for you!
